A Huge Blue Hen Disposal Fan Appreciation Night Set for Friday, August 22nd
Georgetown Speedway is ready to celebrate the fans in a big way on Friday, August 22, with Blue Hen Disposal Fan Appreciation Night. From start to finish, the evening will be filled with racing, family activities, and special events that make this night one of the most exciting on the summer calendar. Best of all, spectator tickets are just $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 7–12, and children 6 & under are admitted free.
To give fans more time to enjoy all of the festivities, all gates will open at 4 p.m. The night begins with a Driver Meet & Greet and Autograph Session from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on the midway, where fans will have the opportunity to meet some of their favorite competitors, including Ryan Riddle and Joseph Watson from the Millman’s NAPA Auto Parts Modifieds, Bryce Bashore and Greg Humlhanz representing the Blue Hen Disposal 602 Sportsman, and Trevor Collins and Matt Hill from the 1st State Chevrolet RUSH Late Models. Whether you bring a hero card, t-shirt, hat, or even just a sharpie, this is a chance to take home a memory that will last long after the checkered flag falls.
For the kids, Fan Appreciation Night is truly something special. The always-popular Juicebox Races return to the speedway, giving young fans ages six and under the chance to climb behind the wheel of their stock Radio Flyer go-karts and take a lap in front of the grandstands. Thanks to Funfull and Water Boyz Inflatables LLC, children will also enjoy a FREE Kids Zone featuring bounce houses, inflatable obstacle courses, and even a giant soccer ball dart board. The only requirement is signing up for the free Funfull app, and once inside, the kids can enjoy endless excitement throughout the night. This will be available to everyone as soon as the gates are open at 4 pm.
Adding to the fun will be the Dunk Tank, where fans can take aim and send local celebrities and racing personalities splashing into the water. Whether you’re looking for revenge on your favorite driver’s rival or just want to support a good cause with a laugh, the dunk tank is guaranteed to be a highlight of the evening.
Of course, no night at Georgetown Speedway is complete without the racing, and Fan Appreciation Night is bringing a unique twist. Headlining the card will be the “Topless” Millman’s NAPA Auto Parts Modifieds in a special non-points event, giving fans a chance to see the stars of the division in a different light. They’ll be joined by the always-competitive Blue Hen Disposal 602 Sportsman, along with the Delmarva Chargers and the popular Little Lincolns. With a diverse lineup of divisions on track, the racing action is sure to match the excitement of everything happening off the track.
Fan Appreciation Night also carries a strong community focus, as Georgetown Speedway teams up with Blue Hen Disposal and Pepsi Bottling Ventures of Delmarva for a Back-to-School Supply Drive. Fans are encouraged to bring school supplies to help fill the Blue Hen Disposal truck, providing much-needed tools for local students as the new school year begins. Each person who donates will be entered into a special drawing for four tickets to Pepsi Day at Jolly Roger Amusement Park, with the drawing held alongside the evening’s 50/50 raffle.
With affordable admission, exciting racing, family entertainment, and opportunities to give back to the community, Blue Hen Disposal Fan Appreciation Night promises to deliver a full evening of memories for fans of all ages. Load up the car with family, friends, and neighbors and join us at Georgetown Speedway on Friday, August 22, for a celebration that’s truly all about the fans.
