Georgetown Speedway Thanks Fans, Sponsors, and Delaware State Police for Their Understanding Amid Event Postponements, Announces First-Ever Presenting Sponsor for Camp Barnes Benefit Race

GEORGETOWN, DE — August 1, 2025
Georgetown Speedway would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our loyal fans, generous Sponsors, and the Delaware State Police for their understanding and support following the postponements of both the 2025 Camp Barnes Benefit Stock Car Race and the Blast at the Beach event, respectively.
While these decisions were incredibly difficult to make, the weather has played out exactly as anticipated for yesterday’s original date and today’s rain date, rendering any chance of racing impossible. As always, the safety of our teams, fans, and staff remains our top priority, and we thank everyone for trusting our judgment during these tough calls.
We also want to thank our fans for their patience and understanding regarding the postponement of the Blast at the Beach, a highlight of our summer schedule. We recognize the anticipation surrounding this event and are actively working to identify a suitable makeup date to ensure this race still takes place.
A special thank you goes to Millman’s NAPA Auto Parts for their flexibility and unwavering support as we navigated these schedule changes. Their partnership has been invaluable.
In light of this partnership, Georgetown Speedway is proud to announce that the 2025 Camp Barnes Benefit Stock Car Race will mark a new milestone—it will be the first-ever Camp Barnes event to feature a presenting sponsor. Moving forward, this year’s race will officially be known as the:
2025 Camp Barnes Benefit Stock Car Race presented by Millman’s NAPA Auto Parts
We are incredibly excited about this enhanced collaboration and the opportunities it brings to elevate further this meaningful event that supports youth across the state of Delaware.
