USAC Sprints, Modifieds Headline Blue Hen Dispose-All Night Friday, July 24

GEORGETOWN, DE – “The superspeedway of short tracksâ
Georgetown Speedway fires back to life after more than a month of inactivity on
Friday, July 24.

Blue Hen
Dispose-All presents a fan-pleasing program headlined by the L&J Sheet
Metal Modifieds and the Rapid Tire USAC East Coast Sprint Cars.

The L&J Sheet
Metal Modifieds, racing for a $3,000 winners share, will compete for 25 laps
around the spacious half-mile track, with the Rapid Tire USAC East Coast Sprint
Cars also taking part in a 25-lap main.

After its
early March Melvin L. Joseph Memorial opener, the high-banked Georgetown oval
was completely resurfaced with new clay. On June 13, the speedway reopened with
multi-groove racing and limited tire wear.

Anticipation
has been building for more than a month and the action returns on the 24th.

L&J Sheet
Metal Modifieds continue their chase for the 2020 Sunoco Championship Series
point championship at Georgetown. Danny Bouc is currently the point leader.

For the
wingless USAC East Coast Sprint Cars, the July 24 visit marks the series
second-ever visit to the First State facility.

Also on the program
are the RUSH Late Models ($1,000 to win), Southern Delaware Vintage Stock Cars,
Little Lincolns, Delmarva Chargers and Delaware Super Trucks.

Grandstand
admission is $20 (Adults), $16 for Seniors (ages 65 and up) and Students (ages
13-17), $10 for Kids (ages 9-12) and Children 8 and under are FREE.

Pit admission
is $35, $10 for Kids (ages 6-12) and Children 5 and under are $2.

Pit and
grandstand gates open at 5 p.m. Hot laps hit the track at 6:40 p.m. Racing gets
underway at 7:30 p.m.

The speedway
will be following CDC guidelines and social distancing requirements for the State
of Delaware.

Georgetown
Speedway, originally constructed by Melvin L. Joseph in 1949, is located at the
intersection of Route 113 and Speedway Road in Georgetown, Del., just miles
from the Delaware beaches and less than a 40-minute drive from Ocean City, Md.
