FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Historic First: World of Outlaws Late Models & Super DIRTcar Series to
Co-Headline at Georgetown Speedway; Visit Delaware Named
Presenting Sponsor of “Visit Delaware 51”

GEORGETOWN, DE — Georgetown Speedway will take center stage in the national dirt racing spotlight on Wednesday, May 13, as two of the sport’s most powerful touring series, the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and the Super DIRTcar Series, come together for a historic, first-ever regular season co-headline event.

This unprecedented pairing marks the only time these two premier series will share the same card outside of the sport’s marquee events at Volusia Speedway Park during the DIRTcar Nationals and the World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte. Bringing that level of prestige to Georgetown Speedway elevates the Delaware venue into rare company and positions the event as one of the most significant dirt racing nights in the country in 2026.

The night, now officially branded as the Delaware Diamond Clash, will feature the Super DIRTcar Series competing in the Millman’s NAPA Auto Parts Delaware Diamond 50 for a $7,500 top prize alongside the World of Outlaws Late Models, battling in the headline feature, the newly announced Visit Delaware 51, paying a massive $20,000 to win.

Fans can expect a star-studded lineup featuring some of the biggest names in the sport, including Bobby Pierce, Nick Hoffman, and Tim McCreadie with the World of Outlaws, alongside Mat Williamson, Matt Sheppard, and defending Georgetown Super DIRTcar winner Alex Payne representing the Super DIRTcar Series.

Adding further significance to the event, Visit Delaware has been named the presenting sponsor of the Visit Delaware 51, a partnership born from the Delaware Sports Tourism Capital Investment Fund, which Georgetown Speedway was awarded earlier this year. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to driving tourism, increasing visibility for the state, and leveraging major sporting events to generate meaningful economic impact across Delaware.
The “51” designation carries symbolic weight, with the “1” representing Delaware’s proud identity as The First State, reinforcing the event’s connection to statewide pride and heritage.

The Delaware Diamond Clash also serves as a powerful lead-in to a massive week for motorsports across the state. Just days later, NASCAR returns to Dover Motor Speedway for All-Star Race weekend (May 15–17), featuring the ECOSAVE 200 (NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series) on Friday, May 15, the BetRivers 200 (NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series) on Saturday, May 16, and the NASCAR Cup Series All-Star Race on Sunday, May 17, with Cup Series cars on track throughout the weekend. With Visit Delaware serving as a mutual partner across these major events, the week creates a unique, multi-day destination for race fans and a significant boost for the region’s tourism economy.

Event details for Wednesday, May 13 at Georgetown Speedway are as follows: pit gates open at 3:00 PM, grandstands open at 4:00 PM, hot laps begin at 6:30 PM, and racing gets underway at 7:15 PM. Every ticket serves as a pit pass, with admission set at $50 for adults (13+), $20 for children (ages 7–12), and free entry for kids 6 and under.

For more information, visit Georgetown Speedway’s official channels and social media platforms.

Primary entitlement partnership for the overall Delaware Diamond Clash remains available. For partnership inquiries, please contact Chad Cathell at chad@thegeorgetownspeedway.com or 302-563-4896.
