Georgetown Speedway Set for Two Nights of Action, Highlighted by Mark "Coot" Williams Memorial

GEORGETOWN, Del. — A busy and exciting week is on tap at Georgetown Speedway as the facility prepares for two nights of on-track activity, culminating in one of the season’s most meaningful events.

Action begins on Tuesday, March 31, with an open practice session, giving teams an opportunity to fine-tune their equipment ahead of the 2026 racing season. Pit gates will open at 5 p.m., with cars hitting the track from 6 to 9 p.m. Grandstand admission is free for spectators, while pit passes are $30 for adults and $10 for children ages 7–12. Kids 6 and under are admitted free.

The spotlight then turns to Friday, April 3, for the Mark “Coot” Williams Memorial, presented by Capstone Homes. A full racing program is scheduled, featuring the Stockley Speed & Supply Super Late Models, Millman’s NAPA Auto Parts Modifieds, Blue Hen Disposal 602 Sportsman, and the 1st State Chevrolet RUSH Late Model Series. Additional divisions include the Delmarva Chargers, Delaware Super Trucks, and the Southern Delaware Racing Club.

Friday’s schedule will see pit gates open at 4 p.m., followed by grandstand gates at 5 p.m. Hot laps are set for 6:20 p.m., with racing action beginning at 7:15 p.m.

Grandstand admission is priced at $25 for adults (ages 13–64), $20 for seniors (65+), and $10 for children ages 7–12. Children 6 and under are admitted free. Pit admission is $40 for adults and $15 for children ages 7–12, with free entry for kids 6 and under.

Fans looking to enhance their race night experience will also have premium viewing options available, including the Besche Furniture “Best Seat in the House” and the second-floor Party Deck. Reservations can be made by contacting Georgetown Speedway directly via Facebook or email (info@thegeorgetownspeedway.com)

With a mix of preparation and high-stakes competition, the upcoming week promises to deliver an early-season showcase for racers and fans alike at the Sussex County oval.
