Georgetown Speedway Set for Two-Day Opening Weekend Featuring Open Test & Tune and Delaware Diamond 50

GEORGETOWN, Del. (March 23, 2026) — Georgetown Speedway officially opens its 2026 season with a two-day program on Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28, highlighted by an Open Test & Tune session and the highly anticipated Millman NAPA Auto Parts Delaware Diamond 50 featuring the Super DIRTcar Series.

The weekend begins Friday, March 27 with an Open Test & Tune, giving teams across all divisions the opportunity to dial in their equipment ahead of the season. Pit gates will open at 4:30 p.m., with on-track activity scheduled from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Grandstand admission is free for spectators. Pit admission is $30 for adults (ages 13 and up), $10 for children ages 7–12, and free for children 6 and under.

On Saturday, March 28, the spotlight turns to the Millman NAPA Auto Parts Delaware Diamond 50, as the Super DIRTcar Series Modifieds invade Georgetown Speedway for a 50-lap main event paying $7,500 to win. The event also offers $1,000 for 10th place and $600 to take the green flag, ensuring a competitive field of top-tier talent.

In addition to the headline division, a full racing program is scheduled, including the Blue Hen Disposal 602 Sportsman competing for $2,000 to win and $175 to start, along with the Delmarva Chargers, Delaware Super Trucks, and Little Lincolns. Standard championship points will be awarded for the Blue Hen Disposal 602 Sportsman division, with all competitors required to follow 2026 Georgetown Speedway rules.

Saturday’s event schedule includes pit gates opening at 3:00 p.m., grandstand gates at 4:00 p.m., hot laps at 6:00 p.m., and racing beginning at 6:45 p.m.
Grandstand admission is $35 for adults (ages 13–64), $30 for seniors (65+ with valid ID), $15 for children ages 7–12, and free for children 6 and under. Pit passes are $50 for adults, $20 for children ages 7–12, and free for children 6 and under.

Fans unable to attend in person can watch the Delaware Diamond 50 live on DIRTVision.

Teams are encouraged to review the updated 2026 Georgetown Speedway rulebook, available on the official website, and to familiarize themselves with any changes from the 2025 season. Competitors with questions are encouraged to contact the speedway via Facebook, email, or phone for clarification.
