Georgetown Speedway Announces James Fine Jewelry Diamond Hunter Points Chase for 2026 Season

Georgetown, DE — Georgetown Speedway is proud to announce an exciting new incentive program for the 2026 racing season: the James Fine Jewelry Diamond Hunter Points Chase. Backed by a $2,500 investment from James Fine Jewelry, the program is designed to reward peak performance across the speedway’s top divisions.

The Diamond Hunter Points Chase is open to drivers competing in Georgetown Speedway’s three primary points classes: the Millman’s NAPA Auto Parts Modifieds, the Blue Hen Dispose-All 602 Sportsman, and the 1st State Chevrolet RUSH Late Models. Unlike traditional championships that are separated by division, this new additional program combines all eligible drivers into a single standings format, creating a unique, track-wide competition. Drivers will accumulate “Diamond Points” throughout the season during all designated points events. A heat race victory will earn one Diamond Point, while a feature event win will earn two Diamond Points. Points are tracked by driver rather than by class, placing all competitors on equal footing regardless of division.

At the conclusion of the 2026 season, the driver with the highest total of Diamond Points will be crowned the James Fine Jewelry Diamond Hunter Champion and will receive a $2,500 credit from James Fine Jewelry. In the event of a tie, the award will be split evenly among the tied drivers.

“We’re excited to partner with Georgetown Speedway on something that’s truly unique,” said Steven James. “Racing is built on passion and performance, and this program rewards both. It’s a great way to recognize drivers who consistently perform at a high level throughout the season, and we’re proud to be part of that.”

“This is exactly the kind of program that adds another layer of excitement for both our drivers and our fans,” said Chad Cathell. “It brings all three of our divisions together into one competitive chase and gives drivers another reason to push for wins every single week. We’re grateful to James Fine Jewelry for stepping up and making this possible.”

The Diamond Hunter Points Chase adds an additional storyline to the weekly racing program and individual division points chases, giving fans a track-wide championship battle to follow all season long.
