Mother Nature Wins Friday - Thomas, Collins, Musser Win Saturday

By Len Sammons:

Five divisions took to the half-mile clay oval, headlined by the URC Sprint Cars, which produced a slim seven-car field on the rain-date.

Harding, PA's Jordan Thomas was dominant in the 20-lap 360 wing Sprint feature, taking the win in the Lilick No. 7 after also securing the victory in the division's lone heat race. Thomas led wire-to-wire from the pole position, holding off defending series champion Josh Weller and JT Ferry, who rounded out the podium.

In 602 Crate Sportsman action, Jason Musser of Frankford, DE, powered to the front from the second row to pick up the 20-lap feature win. James Hill, who
charged through the field to finish second, was followed by Ryan Simmons in third. Heat race wins went to Simmons, Hill, and Alexis Justice.

The RUSH Late Models saw Trevor Collins of Seaford, DE earn the feature victory, backing up his heat win earlier in the night. Ben Scott came from seventh to finish second, and Derek Magee, who started on the pole, completed the top three.

Jay Lowman of Dover, DE made the biggest jump of the night in the Delmarva Chargers, rallying from ninth to grab the checkers in the 12-lap main event. Jeff Merryman and Jesse West filled out the podium.
