THURSDAY’S GEORGETOWN SPEEDWAY HOVIS RUSH LATE MODEL FLYNN’S TIRE TOUR “BATTLE OF THE BAY” SPEEDWEEK PRESENTED BY 3C GRAPHIX EVENT CANCELLED DUE TO EXPECTED THUNDERSTORMS

(Georgetown, DE)...The scheduled night two of the fourth annual “Battle of the Bay” Speedweek presented by 3C Graphix for the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Late Models Thursday night at Georgetown Speedway has been cancelled due to expected thunderstorms throughout the evening hours. It marked the first cancellation of a Georgetown “Battle of the Bay” event. Dry weather is predicted for the balance of Speedweek at Potomac and Winchester Speedways.
On Friday night at Potomac, pit passes go on sale at 4 p.m. with a drivers meeting at 7 followed by warm-ups at 7:30. Action gets underway early at Winchester with pit passes going on sale at 2 p.m., drivers meeting at 4:30, and warm-ups at 5 p.m.
With his $3,000 victory on Wednesday night at Delaware International Speedway, local racer Joe Warren leads the “Battle of the Bay” Speedweek presented by 3C Graphix points, while runner-up Logan Roberson has the early points lead in the $15,000 to-win Flynn’s Tire Touring Series.
