First Time Event: USAC East Coast Sprint Cars Invade Georgetown Speedway July 26 Teaming with Modifieds

GEORGETOWN,
DE – Georgetown
Speedway has hosted a variety of excitement since its construction in 1949.

On Friday,
July 26, a new chapter will be written in the history books.

The Rapid
Tire USAC East Coast Sprint Cars make their first-ever appearance on the
progressively banked half-mile as part of Blue Hen Dispose-All Night. The “double
headlineâ show also features the L&J Sheet Metal Modifieds competing for
$3,000 to win over 30 laps.

“This is something
all-new for the fans of Georgetown Speedway,â promoter Brett Deyo said. “We are
looking forward to doubling up wingless Sprint Cars with the Modifieds for one
huge night.â

The USAC East
Coast organization spans from Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and Delaware,
working hand-in-hand with the United Racing Club (URC) to provide 360 car owners,
teams and drivers with the best possible schedules.

Steven Drevicki,
Chandler Leiby and Eddie Strada lead the series points into the summer stretch,
which includes the debut at Georgetown.

Von Dohren to take the victory aboard the Dannys Pizza Pizzazz No. 51.

A solid field
of 32 L&J Sheet Metal Modifieds participated in the May event.

On July 26, pit
gates will open at 4 p.m.  Grandstand gates

flag at 7:30 p.m.
