Georgetown Speedway Mid-Atlantic Championship Weekend Becomes More Lucrative; Special Awards & Bonuses Adding Up For November 4-5 Weekend

GEORGETOWN, DE €“ As the 2016 Georgetown Speedway season finale Mid-Atlantic Championship Weekend approaches, the November 4-5 program becomes increasingly lucrative for racers.

Special awards and bonuses continue to add up for competitors in many of the divisions competing over the busy weekend.

Campbells Collision, based in Fruitland, Md., will boost the winners share of the 40-lap Super Late Model main event to a minimum of $5,000, up from the previously posted $4,000.

Ad-Art Sign Company, located just south of the speedway in Georgetown, Del., has posted a $250 Hard Charger Award for the driver advancing the most positions from their scheduled starting position to the finish of the Super Late Model event.

Two anonymous sponsors, both full-fledged supporters of the Crate Late Model division, have combined to bring the victors payout to a stout $2,000 for 20 laps! Additionally, there is a $100 bonus available to the highest-finishing Crate 602 engine.

DTM Motorsports of Millsboro, Del., has signed on to present a Last Chance Qualifier for the big-block Modified division. The drivers just missing out on a qualifying spot in a consolation will move on to a 3-lap Last Chance Dash. The winner will receive a fully paid starting position in the main, a minimum of $400, courtesy of DTM Motorsports owner Dan Fiedler.

A big-block Modified Hard Charger Award, worth $250, has been sponsored by Blue Hen Dispose-All of Millsboro, Del. This award goes to the driver advancing the most positions from their scheduled starting position to the finish of the 40-lap main.

Scottys Speed & Diesel/REM-Shift, based in Laurel, Del., will offer Halfway Leader bonuses in the big-block Modified ($100), small-block Modified ($100) and Crate 602 Sportsman ($50) divisions.

As previously announced, Chesapeake Paving of Parsonsburg, Md., is backing the Georgetown Double-Down bonus should a driver sweep the Friday small-block and Saturday big-block events, bringing that drivers earnings to a minimum of $10,000!

The huge Mid-Atlantic Championship program will feature big-block Modifieds, small-block Modifieds, Super Late Models, Crate 602 Sportsman, Crate Late Models, Little Lincolns, Southern Delaware Vintage Stock Cars, Delmarva Chargers and Delaware Super Trucks.

Sunday (November 6) and the weekend of November 18-19 will be utilized in the event of inclement weather.
