Raising The Stakes For The Ultimate Super Late Model Series Visit To Georgetown Speedway Thursday, June 2; Bi-Rite Auto Sales Boosts Winners Payout To

GEORGETOWN, DE €“ The stakes have gone up for the First State 40 at Georgetown Speedway and the four-race Colonial Clash Championship presented by DirtNation.

On Thursday, June 2, the touring Ultimate Super Late Model Series will make its debut at the First State half-mile oval in a combined effort with three neighboring Mid-Atlantic Region facilities, kicking off four consecutive nights of Super Late Model racing with lucrative purses and a hefty mini-series point fund.

The first Colonial Clash Championship gets underway at Georgetown on June 2 when the Super Late Models battle for an increased $5,000 to win thanks to sponsor Bi-Rite Auto Sales of Seaford, Del. The 40-lap main offers $400 to take the green.

The complete race payout for the Super Late Model First State 40 at Georgetown is as follows: 1st) $5,000; 2nd) $2,500; 3rd) $1,500; 4th) $1,200; 5th) $1,000; 6th) $850; 7th) $750; 8th) $700; 9th) $600; 10th) $550; 11th) $500; 12th) $450; 13th) $425; 14th-24th) $400.

The Ultimate Super Late Model Series will break new ground in Delaware, making the furthest trek north in series history. However, racers will have plenty of incentive to make the tow.

Following the Georgetown event on Thursday, the Colonial Clash Championship continues on Friday (June 3 - $5,000 to win) at Potomac Speedway in Budds Creek, Md., Saturday (June 4 - $20,000 to win) at Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, Va., (for Ernie Sheltons prestigious 39th annual USA 100) and concludes Sunday (June 5 - $5,000 to win) at Winchester (Va.) Speedway.

A boosted mini-series point fund of $17,000 will be distributed to the top-15 finishers in the four-race Colonial Clash Championship as follows: Champion) $5,000; 2nd) $2,500; 3rd) $1,200; 4th) $1,000; 5th) $900; 6th) $800; 7th) $700; 8th) $700; 9th-15th) $600. *100 percent participation in the four races required to receive point fund

More than $130,000 in cash will be up for grabs during the four-night stretch of racing.

Ultimate Super Late Model Series points will also be distributed toward the season-long championship. The Ultimate Series, operated by Stan Lester and managed by Kelly Carlton, has been in existence since 2011. Ultimate Super Late Models will be joined at the First State 40 by Crate 602 Sportsman, Delmarva Chargers and Delaware Super Trucks.

Pit gates will open at 4 p.m. with grandstand gates unlocked at 5 p.m. Hot laps are planned for 6:30 p.m., with racing at 7:15 p.m.

Admission is $20 for Adults. Seniors (ages 65 and up) and Students (ages 13-17) pay $16. Kids 9-12 are $10 and those under eight are admitted FREE. Pit admission is $35 (ages 13 and up), $10 for Kids 6-12 and $2 for those five and under.

Georgetown Speedway, originally constructed by Melvin L. Joseph in 1950, is located at the intersection of Route 113 and Speedway Road in Georgetown, Del., just miles from the Delaware beaches and less than a 40-minute drive from Ocean City, Md.
