Hurlock Auto & Speed Supply Joins Forces With Georgetown Speedway In 2016, Will Serve As Official Parts Supplier; New Mobile Parts Unit To Debut At Me

GEORGETOWN, DE €“ Hurlock Auto & Speed Supply and Georgetown Speedway have joined forces for the 2016 season.

Operated by dirt Modified driver Shawn Ward, the Hurlock, Md.-based business will serve as the official parts supplier for the historic First State half-mile during the upcoming 2016 season.

Hurlock Auto & Speed Supply will be present with an all-new mobile parts unit when Georgetown opens the 16 Northeast dirt Modified campaign with the Melvin L. Joseph Memorial on Saturday, March 12 and for all events during a highly anticipated slate of unique special programs.

A full line of oval-track speed parts and at-the-track necessities will be available at the Hurlock Auto & Speed Supply parts trailer. American Racer tires and VP Racing Fuels will also be on sale at the track.

Now open for more than a year, Hurlock Auto & Speed Supply is making its presence felt in the Delmarva motorsports world. Growth has been steady for the 3,000-square-foot business.

Hurlock Auto & Speed Supply is a multi-faceted business. On one side is, as Ward terms it, an everyday auto parts store. The other side is a growing section of performance parts for both circle-track and drag racers in addition to truck enthusiasts.

Currently, Hurlock Auto & Speed serves racers with the following product lines/suppliers: Allstar Performance, Behrents Performance Warehouse, Bicknell Racing Products (a growing inventory), FK Rod Ends, K&N, Winters, Schaeffer Racing Oil, Wilwood, Jones Racing Products, Fragola, Vahlco Wheels, Weld Wheels and more.

Ward also has the ability to attain truck brands such as Rough Country, Bully Dog and Bushwacker.

Additional brands are expected to be added during the winter months.

As part of the partnership, Hurlock Auto & Speed Supply will be a presenting sponsor of the Blast at the Beach Short Track Super Series Fueled By VP event on Tuesday, Aug. 30 at Georgetown.

Georgetown Speedway, originally constructed by Melvin L. Joseph in 1950, is located at the intersection of Route 113 and Speedway Road in Georgetown, Del., just miles from the Delaware beaches and less than a 40-minute drive from Ocean City, Md.
